Sales: a manifesto
I was digging through old emails and came across this note I sent to the (amazing) SF Local Sales Office many years ago.

Subject: Sales: a manifesto
Nothing changes without salespeople.
Ideas don't spread. Companies don't grow. Problems don't meet their simple solutions.
Salespeople say yes when others say no.
Salespeople believe life is too short to sit on the sidelines and hope for change and action. You gotta go and get it.
Sales is more than a skill you learn. It is a way of viewing the world.
Problem leads to solution. Issue becomes opportunity. Hope should precede action.
A great idea is nothing unless it spreads, and few are willing to take on that responsibility. That is what the builders, the leaders, the salespeople are here for.
