New Blog Post
In this post, I share why I think the Internet travel industry is ripe for disruption and highlight a few new startups in the space.
Travel to Italy
Fiascherino beach is neighborhood stretch of sand on the Golf of Poets in Italian's Ligurian coast, between Lerici and the small village of Tellaro. Its lifeguards post unassuming pictures of daily life at the beach on their Instagram account. Charming.
Travel to France
The colorful storefronts (and shopkeepers) of Paris.
Travel to China
Lu lives in China, travels across the country and posts pictures of his meals on Twitter, every single day. There is something comforting in the simplicity of his photographs and plain descriptions of each meal, it feels as if you are sitting there next to him. The meals are usually from small family-run shops or street carts—showcasing workaday life in China. I'm not sure about the accuracy of Google's automatic translation of his tweets, but it keeps you on your toes.
